About the site

Living with chronic illness is difficult. "Normal" often changes and there is much uncertainty. Further, there may be daily challenges of pain, fatigue, and other symptoms that interrupt our lives.

The purpose of this blog is to help readers stand on the truths of scripture and God's presence rather than than being tossed around by the emotional roller coaster that often leaves us feeling hopeless. In short, the goal is to develop the skills of joy and grace which allow peace and hope in the midst of life's trials.

About the author

My health issues began in earnest in 1991. In 2003, I was forced to give up my career as a CPA. Since then, I have facilitated support groups for chronic illness and done limited financial counseling as a ministry within our church. God has used my illness and the ministry of others to move me from a state that was more religion to a true relationship with Him.

I am blessed with a great wife who has walked this journey with me and helped me sort through the emotional and spiritual issues related to chronic illness. We have two daughters, a son-in-law and two grandchildren.

I believe that our primary purpose is to glorify God in all we do. Further, that we should be the best that we can be within our limitations. I lean heavily on Romans 8:28 which says: "And we know that God causes all things to work together for good to those who love God, to those who are called according to His purpose." As I have been helped by the Christian ministry of others, I hope to do the same for you. To that end, I ask that as you read the posts, that you will compare the content to scripture as it is the final authority in all matters.

May our Lord be gracious to you, bless you in your journey and draw you to Himself.

Sincerely,

Will
